How do I apply?

You can only apply through MyAEGEE to this event. Please contact your Network Commissioner in case you have problems with the application. Make sure to state your motivation in detail.

Do I need any preparation for entering Hungary?

Hungary, the host country is part of the European Union which means that EU and EEA citizens can travel freely. In case of other countries different rules may apply, depending on your home country or residence permit. Please check your visa requirements and reach out to us if you need help!

Can I drink the tap water in Budapest?

Yes, and we highly recommend it. The tap water has a high quality and is very sustainable.

What should I bring with myself?

As the Agora participants are accommodated in a dormitory, you will need no air mattress or sleeping bags. Save your space and luggage costs!

Money

Most credit and debit cards are accepted in Hungary in general except for American Express in several places. Please check your possible fees and general contract details with your issuing bank before paying.
Cash in HUF for secondary and backup use. Note that in Hungary card payment option must be provided by any seller as required in the law and therefore we would not recommend to keep huge amounts of cash with you.

Clothing

Warm clothes. Hungary in this time of the year can be windy, rainy and cold. There is slight chance for sub-zero temperatures.

Medications

Do not forget your important medications. We also recommend to keep painkillers and magnesium with you in case you would not feel well.
